Doyle joined the family business as a nine-year-old boy, working in the warehouse on Saturdays and during the summer (there must have been no child labor laws in those days). Doyle graduated from Carson-Newman College in 1975 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
After graduation, Doyle moved to Memphis, Tennessee and joined the newly acquired Farm Equipment Division, King Wallace, Inc., as a salesperson. He continued there until moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee to join a sister Farm Equipment Division, Southeastern-Wallace, Inc.
In 1984 Doyle returned to Morristown to become the PRO Program Director at Wallace Distribution and manager of the Industrial Division.
In the mid 90's, Doyle dealt with medical issues that necessitated a bone marrow transplant. After a three year recovery, Doyle was fortunate to return to his position in the Industrial Division.
When his father passed away on Thanksgiving Day in 2008, Doyle assumed the role of CEO & President of Wallace Distribution and remains in that position today.
Doyle and his wife, Deanna, have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

John's passion for the hardware industry was sparked during his high school years when he worked at Walker's Supply Co., a local hardware store. The early experience ignited his interest in the hardware and lumber industry and laid the groundwork for his future career.
His journey at Wallace Distribution began in 2016 as a Territory Manager in the Sales Department, where he worked directly with customers and learned the needs of their business. In 2018, John transitioned to the role of Director of Operations and was named Vice President of Operations 3 years later.
Alongside his corporate endeavors, John has had the privilege to serve as an Officer in the Army National Guard for 13 years. His military service has allowed him to grow in discipline and leadership.
One of John's greatest privileges has been to work alongside and learn from his father, Doyle. John currently lives in Morristown with his wife and 2 sons.
